NEVER BOUGHT BEEF IN

BULK BEFORE?

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
  • Step 1

Choose a whole, half, or quarter. Then choose which month you'd like your beef. (Note, the month you select is when the cow goes to the butcher. It is about 3 weeks later that the beef is ready for pick up).

  • Step 2

For wholes and halves, we will walk you through the butcher's cut sheet. (Note: all quarters are cut the same way).

  • Step 3

Pick up your meat from the farm or have it delivered! We will let you know as soon as it's ready for pick up and ask that you come (or have us deliver) within two weeks.

TERMS

TO
KNOW

Hanging weight (HW): Whole, halves, and quarters are sold by the hanging weight, which is the weight of the carcass when it is aging, but before it has been butchered into the various cuts.

Finish weight (FW): This is the weight of the frozen and vacuum sealed product you take home.

Processing costs: This is what it costs to have the animal butchered.  We will add these costs to your total after the butcher has invoiced us.  They charge based on the hanging weight of the animal and certain options (like bratwurst, shaved steak, etc.) cost more.

Delivery costs: You are more than welcome to come out to the farm and pick up your meat on whatever schedule you like (we’ll just ask for a few days heads up).  But we are also offering home delivery at a small additional cost.

Please note: Since everything is charged by the weight of the animal there’s no risk that your yield will be less than what you are paying for.
